Inter chip broker market providers

The companies and other organizations on this page provide a means for chip brokers to find other brokers to buy their chips from or sell them to.

Usually these services provide a database that is accessible via the WWW and in which chip brokers can search or put their offers. Often these companies also offer handling email with offers and providing information via email.

Some of them charge both the suppliers and the demanders, others only one of them, some even none of them. With some you can already see the offers (without the company data) without paying and most offer a free trial period.

Features

PowerSource started 1992 in the information business as MicroLine, publishing a monthly CD-ROM database. Then Aurora Electronics bought it as a real-time on-line sourcing tool. PowerSource is again a privately held independent company.

PowerSource does not buy or sell or broker so no information is held back for personal use. All uploads and postings appear to all subscribers immediately.

Many distributors are on multiple on-line services, but PowerSource's automated upload system allows you to see the information first (before your competitors see it on other on-line services).

An information department is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of our data. Old files are purged after 60 days.

Distributors receive phone calls prompting updated information. Programmers assist distributors in uploading in formats other services won't take. Customers receive requirements, stock offers, requests for quote's and "exact matches" between requirements and real-time inventory updates.

The search engine is fast and clean, showing the distributors, quantity in stock, phone number and the date the inventory was uploaded all on one screen.

The data is also downloadable from an FTP site to use off-line.
